Carr Hagerman

Author / Producer / Speaker

For most of his adult life, Carr Hagerman has lived in two worlds. His first profession was to become a street performer, which he began in 1974, touring with renaissance festivals as a walk about street comedian. His second life was that of the entrepreneur and business person. As a performer, he became a student of engagement and collaboration, and discovered early in his career that what he learned as a street performer could be applied in business and service. Carr is truly a renaissance man. He's been a street performer, musician, published author, business owner, photographer, video journalist, film critique, producer and lecturer. He's worked with mentally and physically handicapped children, has been a foster parent for abused children, and donates much of his time mentoring creative talent. Each year he trains and develops over 400 entertainers, musicians and costumed performers for the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. Carr's message is simple and clear, to see work as a way to improve the value of our own lives and the quality of our workmanship, and ultimately how we can make a difference with those we live with and serve. Look for "The New Thrive™" a new book by Carr Hagerman, on the future of workplace and community engagement.
